Penis is a very important organ for men and its function is not limited only to reproduction and sexual life, but it is of key importance for survival. That's why it is very important that you take good care of your penis and keep it healthy so that it will continue to serve its purpose. Do you know how to keep your penis healthy?

Is pubic hair removal important for a healthy penis?

Removing your pubic hair has positive effects on the health of your penis, because by doing so the moisture of your pubic area reduces, which prevents bacteria from developing. Besides, it is a lot easier to examine your testicles which is very important for discovering cancer early. Your penis will look bigger if it won't be surrounded by thick bush and some men also claim that the sensibility during sexual intercourse increases.

Are you worried about the unpleasant pain?

The easiest way to remove your pubic hair is by epilating the area, but is is also true that this kind of procedure can be quite painful. If you're not keen enough to pull the hair out, you can decide to shave them. You have to be really careful while shaving, because the wrong move with a razor can cause injuries. After shaving don't forget about hygiene - use razors for single use and don't share them with your partner.

Appropriate hygiene is necessary for a healthy penis

Penis is a sensitive organ so there's no need whatsoever to rub it too roughly or to use too much soap. It is enough to rinse it with warm water and gentle, mildly scented soap. If the penis is uncircumcised, you have to move the foreskin in order to reach and wash the glans penis, but don't use the soap. Dry the whole area with a clean, soft towel. Too frequent or too rare washing is not good for a healthy penis because it can cause the development of balanitis or the inflammation of the glans penis. In case it does, you should wash the penis with a warm, salty water. If the condition doesn't improve, you should visit a doctor.

Self-examination can save your life!

For a healthy penis it is important to regularly examine your penis and testicles. This means that you should pay extra attention to your penis approx. once a month and look for possible cancerous signs and the signs of sexually transmitted diseases.

Pay special attention to:

- any unusual discharge from the penis;

- any change of smell and/or color of the semen;

- blood in semen or urine, distinctively dark color of the urine;

- pain in the lower abdomen or in the pubic area;

- the occurrence of pain during sexual intercourse, ejaculation or urination;

- small wounds, gnaws, bumps or excrescences in the pubic and the surrounding area.

Don't panic if a small change occurs because not all changes dangerous and some of them are completely treatable, but you will only know for sure if you visit a doctor. Therefore all the above changes should be a sufficient reason for you to visit a doctor.
