Who Are Vegansexuals?

More and more vegans are unwilling to have intercourse with people who eat meat, seeing the latter as the graveyard of animals.

Annie Potts, the co-director of the New Zealand Centre for Human-Animal Studies in Canterbury, invented the term vegansexuals to describe those vegans who along with meat products and all animal products also reject having intercourse with people who eat meat. “Vegansexuals believe that the bodies of meat-eating people are comprised of carcasses, and they therefore refuse any close physical contact with them,“ says the researcher from New Zealand.

She discovered vegansexuals during detailed interviews with 157 vegetarians. “This is a completely new trend. I haven't seen anything similar to date,” adds Potts.

One of the vegans said she finds non-vegan people attractive, but she wouldn't have a physical contact with them. “I don't want to be intimate with someone whose body is literally comprised of the bodies of others that had to die for his existence.”
