What Different Types of Lovers do You Know?

You probably know there are different types of lovers and you have surely asked yourself what type of a lover are you. You can find the answers in the article.

Different types of lovers

People describe love in many different ways. Let us take a look at some:

- tragic love : you can do it with something, but you have nobody to do it with.

- social love : you can do it with somebody, but you have nothing to do it with.

- philosophical love : you can do it with somebody and you can do it with something, but you have no place to do it at.

Interesting and true. There are probably as many types of love as there are people. But there are slightly fewer types of lovers. Let us have a look at them.

Types of lovers: Which one are you?

Friendly lover

Friendship is very important for your relationship. Your partner is therefore your best friend and you enjoy his or her company and closeness. Your relationship is dominated by loyalty and trust and you develop it slowly and without any major ups and downs or sexual obsession.

Addicted (possessive) lover

You are addicted to your partner more than you are probably aware of. You want to command and control him or her. When your relationship changes, you are depressed or you even fall ill. You do various foolish things to attract the partner’s attention.

Altruistic lover

Making your partner happy is of key importance in your relationship. When problems arise in the relationship you always try to overcome them. You are loyal, unselfish and gentle. However, you only want to give when you are in love and you do not expect anything in return!

Romantic (erotic) lover

You are obsessed with the person with whom you are in love, and you constantly think about him or her. You feel a strong sexual attraction for your partner. You are jealous, tolerate too much, and constantly need proof that this person loves you. This type of love usually lasts a few months or even years.

Practical (reasonable) lover

You have a logical and practical approach to the person you love and the same goes for the way you express love. You choose the “right person” carefully and prudently. You want somebody who has equal interests, a similar level of education, equal religious beliefs, and she or he also has to correspond to your personal characteristics, values and goals in life.

Love actor

You solely focus on yourself in a love relationship and your pleasure and happiness are the only important things for you. You badly lack maturity, closeness and certainty. You “buy” lack of self-confidence with  the so-called “flirting”, seduction and conquests. Usually, you also clearly show or express that you do not want a serious and long-term relationship.

What types of lovers match well?

 
The most successful relationships are formed between two friendly lovers. Practical lovers are also a good match as well as the combination of friendly and practical lovers. And what about other combinations?

Romantic and friendly lovers: they have different ways of expressing love, which can cause problems. The first one wants romantic courtship and passionate lovemaking, while the friendly type prefers to spend a quiet evening at home and perhaps start planning where to go away together.

The combination of two romantic lovers: It may sound poetical, but this is not the best combination. After three or four years, when sexual attraction and excitement start cooling off, these lovers become unhappy. Of course, this is not always the rule and with a little creativity to turn on the old charm, you can make it!

Obsessed and friendly lovers: where two completely opposite love types collide it usually depends on the strength of sexual attraction how long will the relationship last.
