Too Attractive to Get a Job!
One might think that attractive women can get any job in the world but in reality the situation is often very different.
It is harder for attractive women to get a job. Well, at least in some cases.
Attractive women are less wanted
A research conducted by the University of Colorado, Denver, proves that attractive women usually have smaller chance of getting the job than other ''ordinary'' applicants. The research included jobs where looks are ''not important'', but in reality they were manly jobs, for example the head of the research and development, finance director, construction supervisor or a mechanical engineer. Attractive women also have a lesser chance to get jobs such as safety director, computer salesman, prison guard or a truck driver.
Double standards
''Attractive looks proved harmful for women who want to have jobs like these,'' told (an attractive) researcher 
Stefanie Johnson. Attractive women can get jobs as receptors or secretaries. ''For all other jobs, attractive women were more wanted. The situation is different with men because for them it pays off to be attractive in every case. There are still double standards for men and women. ''
Attractive people always have advantages
The study was published in the Journal of Social Psychology. It was conducted by distributing a list of jobs and the photos of men and women, 55 of each. The participants had to decide which job would be best for a certain person on the photo. The methodology is questionable because it is hard to determine 
attractiveness of a person from a photo and it is also true that employers usually do not decide who to employ based on photos. Stefanie Johnson claims that attractive people always have it better, because they get higher salaries, it is easier for them to get accepted to college, people prefer to vote for them and they get milder sentences in court. The reason for it lies in business rationality: a more attractive employee brings in more customers so the sales are better. What are the practical benefits of the study is not known – but it does encourage equal (positive) employment possibilities for attractive men and women.
