The porn industry lost its compass a long time ago. Films are not produced as art works but as commercials. The purpose of a film is to sell it and it is therefore meant to satisfy as many people as possible in the simplest possible way. Action, simple humor, fast and fluent story, a little of mixed emotional contents.

How does bad porn look like?

Porn production has reduced films to changing sex scenes taken from life. There are no dialogues, an introduction or a story any more. Actors and actresses are very similar to one another and the pleasure of women and men is controlled and is not at the forefront at all. Films which you would make to answer the question: “Why are my fantasies and reality never reflected in a porn film?”

Porn film awards against bad porn?

The awards are presented in Canada and are organized by the Good for Her shop. The prize is the Emma statue, after feminist Emma Goldman. Films which show genuine pleasure, where the woman is not placed in an inferior position, and which include women you normally would not see in a porn film, for instance, the disabled and transsexuals, are nominated for the awards.
