The most recent research about sexual activities of teenagers again confirmed the popularity of oral intercourse.

Oral is completely normal!

Dear parents, we have some surprising news for you! The most recent research about the sexual activities of teenagers, published in the July issue of Journal of Adolescent Health, again confirmed a strong connection between oral and vaginal intercourse among teenagers. Vaginal intercourse has been practiced by approx. 50 percent of teenagers between 15 and 19 years of age, and oral intercourse has been practiced by around 55 percent of them. If your child is practicing one of the two, he/she is probably doing the other thing too.

Preserving virginity with oral intercourse

Among those who never had vaginal intercourse and are therefore still innocent, 23 percent already tried having oral intercourse. This number may seem high until you find out that among those teenagers who already had vaginal intercourse, the number of those who had oral intercourse is much higher, 87 percent. The research also showed that most teenagers lose their oral innocence approximately at the same time as their vaginal innocence. Our children therefore don't learn the basic sexual practices first and then gradually expand their sexual knowledge, but they want to learn all at once.

A similar pattern can be seen with people who are a few years older. The difference in the percentage of those who had vaginal intercourse and those who had oral intercourse, is around 5 points, and oral intercourse was already practiced by 96% students.

Oral intercourse is not a taboo anymore

The results of the research show that popularity of oral intercourse is on the rise among the youth. It is also possible that oral abstinence is not disappearing because perhaps it never existed, but it is the social stigma, which labeled oral intercourse indecent, that is actually disappearing. Such conclusion could also be drawn from the research conducted by one Australian University which lasted for decades and where passive and active participation in oral intercourse increased only among women, not men.

Another popular practice among the youth which also preserves virginity is saddle-backing.
