The most famous German prostitute Molly Luft has finally retired at 60 years of age and turned her back on the oldest profession in the world. Madame with a real name Edda Blanck-Kurtzer moved to a retirement home this year. She is also looking for people to rent her four-bedroom flat where she had a small brothel.

The flat with 90 square meters has a monthly lease of 970 euros and she requires an extra 2500 euros for furniture in the flat. The bizarre furniture includes a medical chair, various beds, a big Andrew's cross with chains and similar. A lot of people want to take a look inside the apartment but it is still waiting for a serious buyer.

After almost two decades in the business, Molly Luft became famous across Germany in the nineties when she appeared in several talk shows. She hosted her own show for several years on a local Berlin TV channel and made an appearance in a video of German hip-hop band Die Fantastischen Vier. Molly Luft was renowned for her heavy make-up and excessive weight over 150kg which made her a sort of a trash icon of Berlin.

The first time Molly Luft turned back on her profession and customers was in 2004 when she sold the brothel where she supposedly received 90.000 customers. She was not ready to give up the social life so she opened a bar. In 2008 the doctors discovered she has bowel cancer and she gave her bar, which didn't make any profit, to her friends. In 2009 after several surgeries and losing 42 kg, she returned to the scene. She opened a brothel at 64 years of age and published the first part of her memoirs.
According to her own words she is now retired for good. The doctors discovered metastases on her whole body but Molly keeps a positive attitude and hopes to spend a few quiet years in a retirement home. An extra money from the rent will surely be useful.
