From now on American teachers can have sex with adult students
According to the new law adopted in Washington, teachers can have sex with their students.

Sentenced because of having sex with a student
The new law was adopted because of the case of a teacher who was charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, accused of having sex with his student in 2006 and the court wanted to sentence him to a few years in prison. The girl, who was an undergraduate student, became involved with her teacher in a long-lasting erotic relationship that eyewitnesses eventually reported to the police. The judge didn’t get confused and acquitted the teacher of all charges because the student with whom he has sex was already 18 years old, which means that she was no longer a minor. And that is the essence of this law, which from now on allows an intimate relationship between an adult student and a teacher.
A male teacher who’ll become intimately involved with his student will no longer be legally responsible. (jlp)
Parents raised their voice of protest
Naturally, parents are horrified and can’t imagine that a teacher would have sex with their child. “That’s it. Now our children won’t only be taught, but they’ll also be perceived as sexual prey,” said one of the more horrified parents who already considers transferring his daughter to another school. The lead prosecutor in the case against the aforementioned teacher hasn’t decided yet whether or not he’ll file an appeal against the decision of the judge and adoption of the new law, but parents are very worried about their daughters. “When my daughter turns 18, I can’t even imagine that she has sex with her teacher. That’s high school, for God’s sake. It’s not university. They are still children.”
From now on, a female teacher will be able to have any kind of fun with her student, provided that he’s at least 18 years old. (jlp)
Headmasters aren’t pleased as well
Headmasters are also slightly sceptical about the new law because it wouldn’t really be very respectful if their teacher became involved with student on a large scale. “It doesn’t matter whether or not it’s unlawful. This is a moral issue. If you’re a teacher, you shouldn’t become intimately involved with your students. If you can’t prevent that, this profession isn’t suitable for you, unfortunately,” one of the headmasters concluded.
