Young men are full of hormones when growing up. They walk around tense and seek opportunities to relax – in short, they reach their peak of potency in their youth. At that time, young women have no clue about sex. They don’t have sexual needs. And that’s despite the fact that they undergo major hormone changes, get menstruation, have acne and everything is wrong with their bodies because they’re blossoming. Could you say that they’re on their way to their sexual peak? Of course.
The social logic of the peak of potency in men and women
According to what logic do men reach their peak of potency a whole decade earlier than women? According to what logic should a woman start walking around like a time bomb only after the age of 30 if her biological clock starts ticking a lot sooner?
According to the social logic. Boys are motivated to engage in sexual activity very soon. Even if they are not encouraged directly, social messages they are receiving are clear. It’s different for girls. They have to be “pure” and shouldn’t be interested in sex. The age of 30 (or near that age) increasingly marks the turning point for women, but the way doesn’t steadily lead to a bitter ending. More and more women see this turning point within the context of sex. Women free themselves from the foolishness with which the environment filled their mind. They start to believe in themselves and no longer seek the approval of others. They gain self-confidence based on their own achievements. As a result of all that, they start seeking pleasure and find themselves at their peak of potency. Thus, it seems that women aren’t sexual beings before that age and that the real fun starts after the age of 30. How many times did you hear a woman say that only then her life began? Probably quite a few times.
If there is such thing as a period of peak of potency, of course it can occur at the same time for both partners. With the exception of the myths created on the basis of social repression, there are no findings to confirm otherwise.
