An increasingly large number of people are becoming aware of their bisexuality. Nevertheless, the majority of people still seem to be greatly confused about what bisexuality actually means. Let's break some myths regarding this sexual orientation.
Bisexuals like men as well as women
Wrong. Every person may experience his or her bisexuality in a unique way. If a man has sexual relationships with women and, at the same time, feels attracted to men, he's bisexual. The same applies to women. It should be noted that many people are attracted to the same sex to a certain extent. When they experience sex with a person of the same-sex in reality, they may be turned off by the sight of the naked body of the same-sex partner instead of being aroused. As you can see, there are numerous variations of bisexuality.
Bisexuals cannot be faithful
Just as heterosexuals or gays and lesbians, bisexuals can fall in love and be faithful to their partners. Relationships have the same rules, irrespective of their form.
Bisexuals only act - if they wanted, they could decide for heterosexuality
Nonsense. If you feel bisexual, then you cannot be heterosexual, try as you may. It's a fact that we cannot choose our sexual orientation and we don't have any influence on it. It is what it is and we don't decide on it. Instead, we feel it. Just as one feels that he or she is hetero- or homosexual, bisexuals distinctly feel that they're bisexual.
Bisexuals are gays who don't admit it
Wrong again. Bisexuality isn't homosexuality, that's why it has a distinct name to distinguish it from other sexual orientations. However, bisexuals can be attracted to the same sex in one period and to the opposite sex in another.
