Would you agree to go on separate holidays with your partner? My current partner wants to go surfing with his male friends for 3 weeks and of course I'm not included. I'm scared what might happen on holidays. His friends are mostly single so they'll probably want to party a lot and hit on women. I know he loves me and I think I can trust him, but still... |

Well it's a risk. But I think it's a risk worth taking. Let him go with his friends. They may want to hit on women, but it doesn't mean that he will also and you will show him a great amount of trust for him. That should work magic. He'll prolly go anyway, whether you like it or not, but with your consent, it should be easier for both of you. And, God forbid, don't call him any other second, do it once or twice and say something like: "I missed your voice". It's corny, but I think it should do the job. adrea, not to be rude, but are u a control freak? Because from this post only I can see the glimpse of it's ugly face. It won't do any good when you want to control everything. There's this saying: "Let them go. If they love, they'll come back." or sth like this, don't remember exactly. Yes, you don't know for sure whether sth happens or not, but what's the use in worrying? There is NONE. If you want my advice lollypop, you should go with your female friends for a vacation too. I mean, if he can, why don't you? Noirchatte, I am not a control freak, I'm just speaking from past experience. 'Let them go. If they love they will come back.' The saying is very poetical, but what would you do if they came back but cheated on you when they were gone? This happened to me several times. My bf went on holidays alone with his friends several times. When he came back everything was wonderful, but then I discovered by pure chance that he cheated on me. Not one time he was on holidays, but several times. |

I think I started to like the idea of separate holidays. I think it would actually do me good to be alone with my friends for a while

Yes! No need to thank me xD LOL Just kidding. That's the whole point of separate holidays. When you spend the whole time together then sooner or later even the topics for conversations run out.
