Women Prefer New Clothes to Sex

I exchange a year of sex for a new wardrobe
Unilever, a cosmetic giant, has conducted a web research where 1,000 women from major cities participated. The poll isn’t exactly scientific, but it definitely caused a great stir in the American media.
Women were prepared to give up about 15 months of sex for designer clothing. If they got a new wardrobe, they would be willing to abstain for even 3 years.
61% of women believe that it would be worse to lose their favourite outfit than to go without sex for a month.
Clothes are better than relationships in the long run as well – the longest relationship with a man lasted 11 years, while the longest relationship with an item of clothing lasted a year longer!
Women feel more self-confident in sexy clothes. (jlp)
Clothes make the woman
Sexy clothes are more deserving that almost half of the women in the poll feel self-confident than sex or the women’s partners. It’s more important for women to feel sexy in their clothes than to have intercourse. This points to the fact that they see sex as something where their pleasure is less important because they see themselves as the object of pleasure and not the subject.
It has to be said that the poll included American women from major cities, who experience a great deal of stress at the workplace on account of clothes as well – you have to have a new “outfit” every day (just remember Carrie Bradshaw). European women would probably answer differently. Or not...
