A detailed research about sexual dreams showed that many more women have sexual dreams nowadays than 40 years ago. The poll, taken by men and women, shows that 8 percent of women's dreams are sexual in nature.
The research about sexual dreams
The father of the research, Antonio Zadra from the University of Montreal, included 3,500 men's and women's dream reports in his study. During women's sexual dreams the most common sexual activity is intercourse, followed by sexual innuendo, kissing, fantasies and masturbation.
The experts do not know if the percentage of women having sexual dreams is so much higher because more women are having sexual dreams than 40 years ago, or because modern women are just braver about admitting they have dreams with sexual content – the social criteria have changed a great deal in four decades.
Interesting facts about sexual dreams
The study revealed some other interesting facts. Men and women alike have had an orgasm in 4 percent of their sexual dreams. Current or ex partners were present in 20 percent of women's dreams. Famous people appear in women's sexual dreams 40 percent of the time. Intercourse with multiple partners appeared twice as often with men in comparison to women.
