Italian women will not be having intercourse with their partners until further notice

Women from Naples are going on sexual strike until their partners decide to give up using fireworks.

This news item is somewhat funny, but it’s very much true. A group of women from Naples told their partners that they wouldn’t be having any intercourse with them unless they stop playing with fireworks day after day. "Setting off illegal fireworks isn’t celebrating, it’s dangerous,” one of the women on strike said in a public statement. She also said they want their husbands to stop doing this. It all started out as a joke, but the Italian media made a sensationalistic story out of this, which means that more and more women from Naples and the surrounding areas are going on strike. Or as the president of the strike committee said: “Make love, not explosions.”
