Miraculous Viagra from Bosnia
The history surrounding the water from Kladanj, a totally ordinary water source in the Bosnian city of Kladanj, began in the 1960s. Experts and mere mortals said it was miraculous. They tried its effects and reported that they felt tremendous sexual power. Bosnia was visited by foreigners who were convinced that this thing really works and that their erections would be stronger than ever. There were many men in Kladanj and the surrounding villages who had children at a very old age, which isn’t really unusual, according to one of the inhabitants there because their sexual power was prolonged by drinking the water regularly. Also, very old men were getting married, some even more than ten times and mostly with younger women who couldn’t stop going on about their partner’s marathon sexual abilities. According to experts, the water from Kladanj has a top-notch mixture of minerals and other substances that are good for the body. These substances also help treat diabetes and they lower blood pressure. Sexologists are convinced that its powers as an aphrodisiac are overblown and false, but the natives and the people who have drunk it claim otherwise and are convinced that their erection is back just because of the water.

An attraction that has sunk into oblivion
The Bosnians couldn’t use this miraculous water well enough, so it all became only a part of history. There was a rich German investor a few years ago who was offering a few million Euros for a company to distribute the water from Kladanj around the world and pump it from the ground like oil. The project was started very seriously. They had already come up with the design of the bottles and the labels and they already set the date for the start of distribution. Then, there were some complications about concession. The business transaction was never completed and very few visitors go to see the spring of the water from Kladanj. A few miles away, the locals set up a hotel called “Muška voda” (male water), which used to always be packed, but it’s almost completely empty nowadays, so they’ve started thinking about closing it down. It’s also interesting that the secret of the water from Kladanj goes a long way back because it was already transported in great quantities during the Austro-Hungarian reign, where they made special barrels and transported them from Bosnia in special carriages. In the 1960s, the water became popular all over the world. Tourists from all over Yugoslavia and from elsewhere came to Kladanj. Obviously, the Bosnians were a little embarrassed that they named it just “male water”. It’s very boring and not naughty enough. Maybe that’s the reason it never really got off the ground and it wasn’t turned into a bigger business, even though it could be bought even in Japan and Saudi Arabia.

Was it all just a trick?
The latest studies of this miraculous water from Kladanj came up with the same results as five decades ago. Experts still found healing substances in the water, which affect the human body very pleasantly and heal some diseases. They didn’t find any miraculous effects for potency, so they’re convinced it’s about male autosuggestion. The men merely tried the water and convinced themselves it works. Some went even further and researched the source of the water and its sexual effects. They came up with some interesting conclusions. This is supposedly water which was drunk by reapers who were away from home for long periods of time, which means that they were ungratified for long periods of time. When they returned home to their wives, they were naturally very sexually active because they were missing the sex. This increased desire was attributed to the miraculous water from Kladanj by the natives because the reapers drank it while reaping the grass.
Some experts are still convinced that it’s all a hoax and that the water is completely normal. (jlp)
Prestigious guests and a hit song
As we have already said, Kladanj used to be a popular tourist destination where distinguished guests from all over Yugoslavia went. Even more interesting is the fact that singers also sang about this water. Among them is the most popular and still famous Romani star Esma Redzepova, who wrote and sang the cult hit Casanova Water, which was translated into many languages. The words go something like this: “Who wants to be eternally young in the matters of the heart, should come to the city of Kladanj for a start. Men, drink the water night and day and your golden years will never go away.”
