Anti-Porn Men Project
No matter how fun, arousing and hot can pornography be, it also has its dark side. Besides drugs which help some actresses to endure the shooting of certain pornographic scenes and moral failures which most of the porn actresses and actors are faced with, there's also a problem of humiliation and cruelty to women. Because of all the things mentioned, activists Matt McCormack Evans and Johnathan Wragg founded the Anti-Porn Men Project with the purpose to achieve open communication about humiliation of women in pornography and to strive to remove it. A number of men already joined the project. Many porn stars already talked about the difficulties of shooting certain scenes and some also about being forced to pornography.
»We are not against sex!«
If you think that this is a religious organization, then you are mistaken. Anti-Porn Men Project is independent from all religious organizations and it does not defend the thesis that sex is a sin. They are also separated from feminist movements, even though they fight for the same cause. Evans claims that pornography ruins the perception of what real sex looks like and that it can play a dangerous role in people's sexual life. Besides, the founders also warn about violence and the fact that very little non-violent porn exists. The world of pornography would need more control and improved work conditions for the actors. The project emphasizes: »We are not against sex, we are against violent porn!«
The project is supported by many women
Of course there's no need to emphasize that the ideas of the Anti-Porn Men Project are supported by many women, saying: »Some people cannot separate TV from real life and it is very important that men don't see arousal in slapping and causing pain to women, but that they are repelled by it.«
