Being a nymphomaniac isn’t a sin

…if we have intercourse with our partners in matrimony. That is what a group of Christian wives from America thinks. They have even made a website (Christian Nymphos) where they give all sorts of sexual lessons and advice. They advise couples on how to spice up their sex lives without breaking God’s laws and commandments. The page which includes everything from anal intercourse to various sexual positions has had over 890,000 visitors so far. There are also discussions on masturbation, oral intercourse, orgasms, erotic accessories, contraception and foreplay. Basically, they discuss everything the readers want to know. The website is for people who feel a strong sense of both sexual desire and religion.

Is it about rejecting The Bible?

Certainly not. Even though the topics are very much connected to sex, there’s a strong sense of morality. For example, women who are very sexual will find solace in the fact that there’s nothing wrong with it and that they’re not sinners as long as they have relations with their husbands and are not promiscuous. What’s more, Christian nymphomaniacs claim that God created us as sexual beings for a reason. Despite everything, intercourse is limited only to married people and erotic activities are allowed only when a couple is married. Masturbation is still quite frowned upon. Nymphomaniacs believe that nymphomania is still considered as a negative term and they’re trying to remedy this.

A modern God

In the eyes of the women who designed the website, God has obviously become more modern or he’s always been like that and we’ve simply misinterpreted his teachings or interpreted them too harshly. He would presumably also wish that wives are very much in love with their husbands and that they would constantly make love to them. God sees nothing wrong with that. He would even want us to keep the passion and desire in our nuptial beds. Women should therefore not be ashamed of their blessed lovemaking.

It is obvious that in these times the church must also adapt to a society which is becoming increasingly promiscuous and without morals if it wants to keep its effect and the teaching of morality. With spreading sexual knowledge and educating people about sex, they are getting closer to young people and all people in need – all religious but still sexual people.
