What is the reason than men with muscles have more sex?

The fact that men who are healthy-looking or in other words muscular, have sexual intercourse more often, is somewhat taken for granted. A striking figure gives the owner greater self-confidence to establish the first contact and more confidence in his or her own abilities. On the other hand, a woman usually determines the man’s attitude towards life in general from the attitude towards his body. Because the sports figure is connected to endurance women believe that they will have a better sexual experience with a man who is more muscular.

What was the connection between sex and muscles in the ancient times?

Our evolution and culture offer the first obvious reason. Man the hunter, man the physical worker, glorification of health and long life. The woman who chose a muscular, strong man had a better chance of survival. However, this conclusion is unsatisfactory. The need for a strong, fast hero is not equally expressed in all cultures, in particular where the survival does not depend on ''hard'' work.

In our culture, we also increasingly appreciate the people who are inventive and capable of adapting, which does not entirely depend on the muscular mass index. Our culture is the result of an interesting mixture of the Greek-Hellenic culture and its metamorphoses through Christianity. Greeks celebrated the cult of the body, which is best seen in sculpture. This trend was taken over by the Roman Empire until the arrival of Christianity, when everything turned to worshiping of the spirit and the body became the place of sin. In Europe, Christianity dominates for more than thousand years. The Renaissance, and in some way realism as well, cannot change the whole millennium of abusing the body. As a paradox, this is what they tried to achieve with the sexual revolution. Student revolutions,  the hippie movement, television and massive advertising; the aforementioned helped to destroy the dominating negative attitude towards the body.

Commercials use muscular men to sell everything from sex to a toothpaste

The image of a muscular man who sells toothpaste is the stylistic perfection of every commercial. But what is the criterion for such perfection? Why do all the advertisers use the same methods? The answer is perhaps in aesthetics. A nicely shaped male’s body may also be seen through the golden ratio, the correct proportion between the size of the chest and the abdomen and the length and thickness of arms, and so on. In nature, this is the most common proportion, as well as in art, so why not apply the ratio to our perception on the human body. There is also a special method for shaping the body which invented the ''Adonis Index'' to help evaluate the body with respect to the golden ratio. It does not therefore concern the quantity of what is behind all the muscles but only their distribution and shape, which explains the negative attitude of women towards excessively muscular men.
